How to Prep for your Engagement Session

So you just booked your engagement session but what's next? Prep!!!

When thinking about a location, you could pick somewhere that means something to you as a couple. For example where you had a favorite memory, the street of your first date, or a place you've both traveled to that you love. It doesn't even have to be some other location, in-home sessions are great if you're looking for a more comfy vibe. At the end of the day, you want the session to be about you and your love so if a beach or city session isn't "you" then don't do it. And if you're stuck on picking a location we photographers love getting creative and offering some ideas :)

Props

Got a pup you want to tag along? Bring em! Bringing props always adds some fun to a session! You could bring a blanket to lay on or wrap around each other or even a bottle of champagne to pop!

Picking Outfits

Coordinate and compliment each other but try and stay away from matching. Neutrals and earth tones work the best. When it comes to patterns simple patterns like florals or polka dots are great if they're not too distracting, we want all the attention on you!

Jeramey did great by picking a white short sleeve button up and added texture by choosing denim jeans. Grace wore a beautiful yet simple floral dress that went perfectly with the location we chose!
